Mallari & Sita Kauthuvam
Mallari
A grand, traditional invocation piece rooted in South Indian temple processions. Originally played on the Nadaswaram as the deity emerged from the sanctum sanctorum, Mallari features powerful geometric lines and crisp footwork executed in progressive speeds. In today's choreography, the sacred temple courtyard comes alive on stage as Ananya welcomes the grand, royal procession of Lord Rama and Goddess Sita.
Sita Kauthuvam
A classical hymn of praise celebrating the virtues, grace, and divine beauty of Goddess Sita. Combining energetic rhythmic syllables with expressive narrative elements, or abhinaya, this piece depicts the inner strength and absolute devotion of Sita, honoring her as the epitome of grace.
